STUDYING THE GROWTH AND PRODUCTIVITY OF SAFFRON UNDER DIFFERENT AGRICULTURE TECHNIQUES

This study was conducted at Abi – Jarash farm, Damascus, Syria, during 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 growing seasons. The aim of this comparing the effect three different cultivation techniques saffron (Crocus sativus L.), which were soilless cultivation, within nutrient film technique (NFT), in substrates (mixture peat moss- perlite), addition to soil. An increasing vegetative growth measurements recorded with soil, compared without technology (hydroponics) ,and (peat moss perlite mixture)، Flowering poor hydroponics technique, while non significant differences observed among moss–perlite mixture, soil first second seasons . Cultivation achieved a increase rate corms multiplication (corm plant-1), weight daughter produced from one plant, whereas, qualitative superiority appeared percentage commercial (˃ 8 g) reached 100%, average 13.65,16.07 g seasons, respectively
